As many of Streamyx users know that Tmnet has blocked SMTP Port 25 back in November 2007. Then for some reason (maybe due to public pressure), they re-open back the port. Today I have receive another email from Tmnet saying that they will officially block port 25 again effective from 15, January 2008 and have enable 2 options for the customers on either to use their proxy or Port 587. This port is supported by almost all mail server. In fact, according to the relevant standard, port 587 is the preferred port for mail submission.
